Arrow symbols

Text arrows pointing every way. Tap one to copy it.

Arrows for every direction

Arrows point people where to look. They're useful in bios ("link below ↓"), lists, instructions and notes, and they're far quicker to copy than to find on a keyboard.

Kinds of arrows

  • Simple arrows: → ← ↑ ↓ for directions and steps.
  • Double arrows: ⇒ ⇐ ⇔, often used for "means" or "leads to".
  • Bold and decorative: ➜ ➤ ➳ ➵ for buttons and highlights in text.
  • Circular: ↺ ↻ for refresh, repeat or "try again".
  • Curved and corner: ⤴ ⤵ ↩ ↪ for replies and turns.
  • Swap: ⇄ ⇆ for exchanges and comparisons.
  • Quote arrows: » « › ‹ for subtle pointers and breadcrumbs.

Arrows also look great as frames for gaming names, like »» 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕣 ««. For check marks and bullets, see the full symbols page.

Arrows for lists and directions

Arrows make instructions easier to follow at a glance. A simple → between steps turns a sentence into a sequence: open settings → privacy → turn off. In bios, a downward arrow ↓ or ⤵ points people to your link, and a bold ➤ makes a call to action stand out.

Arrow meanings in maths and notes

  • → often means "leads to" or "becomes".
  • ⇒ means "implies" in logic and maths.
  • ⇔ means "if and only if", or that two things are equivalent.
  • ↑ and ↓ are used for increase and decrease, like prices ↑ or temperature ↓.
  • ↺ ↻ stand for refresh, repeat or rotate.

Most arrows here are standard text characters that work on every modern device. The heavier decorative arrows like ➳ and ➵ come from a dingbats set and also display widely.

Up, down and small arrows

For directions, the up arrow ↑ and down arrow ↓ are the ones people use most, in lists, price changes and menus. Smaller arrow icons like ▸ ▾ ‣ look neat as bullets, and the long ones such as ⟶ suit headings. Copy any of them and they behave like normal text.
