Fonts for your Facebook posts and bio
Facebook has no font menu. Every post, comment and bio is shown in the same typeface, and that isn't something you can change. What you can do is paste text that is already styled. Each style above is built from Unicode characters, so friends see exactly what you see, on any phone or computer.
How to use a style in a post
- Type your words in the box above, or leave the sample to see how each style looks.
- Tap the style you like. It copies straight away.
- Open Facebook, start a post or comment, and paste.
The same steps work for your intro, a page description, a group post or a message in Messenger.
Where styled text helps
- Announcements. A bold first line is easy to spot while people scroll, for example ๐ข๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐ก๐ข๐ช or ๐ก๐๐ช ๐ ๐๐ก๐จ.
- Greetings and birthdays. Cursive looks warm on a birthday wish or a thank-you.
- Page and group intros. A short styled line above a plain description gives the page some personality.
- Lists. Add a heart or star before each line to turn a plain list into a tidy one.
A few things to keep in mind
Don't style a whole post. Long paragraphs in fancy letters are hard to read, and screen readers may read them badly. One styled line and plain text for the rest works best.
Facebook asks people to use the name they go by in everyday life, and it can reject or flag names with unusual characters. Use fancy text in what you post, not in your profile name.
Search and hashtags read plain letters. If you want a post to be found, write the key words normally and style only the decoration. For Instagram-style bio ideas, try the Instagram fonts page, and for chats see WhatsApp fonts.
