Happy kaomoji for every kind of good mood
Happy kaomoji range from a quiet smile to full-body celebration. The simplest ones, like (◕‿◕) or (⌒‿⌒), are just eyes and a curved mouth, perfect for a friendly reply. Add arms and the face gets louder: ヽ(・∀・)ノ and \(^▽^)/ throw their hands in the air, and (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ even throws sparkles.
Reading the faces
- Closed, curved eyes like ⌒ or ^ mean a big, squinty smile.
- ≧ and ≦ are eyes squeezed shut with excitement, as in (≧▽≦).
- ٩ and ۶ on either side are raised fists of joy: ٩(◕‿◕)۶.
- ✧ and ☆ add a sparkle of delight.
When to use them
Use a gentle smile to soften a message, a cheering face for good news, and the dancing ones like ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ when it's a celebration. They also make a cheerful ending for a bio or caption.

Making your own happy kaomoji
Most happy faces follow the same recipe: two eyes, a mouth, and something around the face. Swap any part to make a new one. Try curved eyes like ^ or ⌒ for a big smile, add ✿ for a flower in the hair, or put arms on the sides with ヽ ノ for a cheer. For example, change the mouth in (^▽^) to ω and you get the softer (^ω^).
Because kaomoji are plain text, they work in places emoji can't, like older apps, plain-text emails, code comments and some games. They also keep the colour of your text, so they blend into a sentence instead of standing out like a picture.
Laughing, excited and waving
Happy covers a lot of moods. For laughing, pick faces with open mouths like (≧▽≦). For excited, look for the ones with arms in the air, such as \(^o^)/. A wave (^_^)/ says hello or goodbye. They are all in the grid above.
