Cat kaomoji: whiskers, paws and nyaa
Cat kaomoji are some of the cutest faces you can type. Most share a few features: pointed ears from ^ or ᐠ, a tiny mouth like ω or ᆺ, and sometimes paws.
Spot the cat parts
- Ears: the ^ on each side in (=^・ω・^=).
- Whiskers: the = signs on the cheeks.
- Mouth: ω is the classic little cat mouth, and ﻌ or ᴥ give a rounder snout.
- Paws: ฅ is a Thai letter that looks just like a raised paw, as in ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.
Newer faces like /ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\ and ≽^•⩊•^≼ draw the whole cat head with a sharper outline.
Ideas for using them
- Sign off a message with ฅ(^◕ᴥ◕^)ฅ.
- Add (=^・ω・^=) to a bio if you love cats.
- Reply to cute pet photos with a matching cat face.
- Use ( =ω=)..nyaa as a sleepy goodnight.

Why "nyaa"?
In Japanese, a cat's meow is written "nyaa", so many cat kaomoji come with a little nyaa attached. It's a fun way to sign off a message or show you're in a playful mood.
Cat faces pair nicely with cute fonts for a bio, like a soft rounded name followed by ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.
