Flower kaomoji
Flowers are one of the easiest things to add to a text face. A tiny ✿ or ❀ on each side and the face looks like it is wearing a flower crown. These are popular in bios, captions and cosy chats because they feel soft without being over the top.
What the flower characters are
- ✿ and ❀ are outlined and filled flowers. They are the most common, and show on nearly every device.
- ❁ is a more open, eight-petal flower. (❁´◡`❁) is a good example.
- ⚘ is a flower on a stem, used in ⚘(◕‿◕)⚘.
- @}->-- is the classic keyboard rose. It uses only ordinary characters, so it works almost anywhere.
Faces with flowers, or flowers on their own
The grid has two kinds of entries. Some are faces that hold or wear a flower, such as (◕‿◕✿) and (✿˘◡˘✿). Others are just the rose, in a few lengths. The long ones look nice at the end of a message, like a signature: "good night @}->--".
Where they fit
| Place | Try |
|---|---|
| A cheerful good morning | (❀˘︶˘❀) · (✿ˆ‿ˆ✿) |
| A thank-you note | (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✿ · ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿ |
| A sign-off | @}->-- · --<--<@ |
A note on older phones
A few flower characters are newer than the rest. If one shows up as an empty box when you paste it, swap it for a plain ✿ and the face will look the same.
For more flowers without a face, see the flower symbols, or pair a face with a bow for a very soft look in a cute font bio.
Combining flowers with other symbols
Because flowers are plain characters, you can mix them freely. Try a row such as ✿ ❀ ✿ above a name, or put one at each end of a caption. Used in moderation, a few flowers feel gentle; a whole line of them starts to look busy, so keep it to two or three.
