Kiss and hug kaomoji
Sometimes a message needs a little affection and a plain "x" does not quite do it. This page collects kaomoji for kisses, hugs and shy, blushing moments. Most of them are built the same way: a face in brackets, a puckered mouth, and often a heart or a pair of arms reaching out.
How a kiss is drawn
- з and ³ are the usual mouth for a kiss, as in (˘з˘) or (˘³˘)♡. They look like lips pushed forward.
- ε is the same idea, mirrored. (*´ε`*) is a gentle, slightly shy kiss.
- ♡ and ♥ sit next to the face to show what is being sent.
- 〃 and * on the cheeks show a blush.
How a hug is drawn
Hugs use arms instead of a mouth. The characters つ, ⊂, ⊃ and づ all look like an arm held out, so a face with one on each side looks like it is about to squeeze you. Compare ⊂(・ω・*⊂), which is a hug from the left, with (⊃。•́‿•̀。)⊃, which reaches from the right. Pick whichever direction suits the message.
Which one to send
| Who is it for? | Try |
|---|---|
| A friend having a bad day | (つ✧ω✧)つ · ⊂((・▽・))⊃ |
| Someone you love | (˘³˘)♡ · ♡( ˘ ³˘) |
| A shy goodnight | (*´ε`*) · (〃´ε`〃) |
| A cheerful thank you | (ノ´▽`)ノ♡ · ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ |
Using them in messages
These faces work best at the end of a short line: "see you tomorrow (˘³˘)♡" or "thank you so much ⊂(・ω・*⊂)". They are plain text, so they paste into chats, comments, captions and bios. If a face shows as a box on an old phone, try one of the simpler ones near the start of the grid.
